Lecturer and coordinator - Early Childhood Care and Education

Bio

Dr. Tennisha Morris is an educator with 25 years experience in the field. She is currently lecturer and coordinator for the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme. She also coordinates the ECCE programme for the Eastern Caribbean Joint Board of Teacher Education (ECJBTE).
 
Dr. Morris joined the School of Education (SOE) in 2023. Prior to this, she was lecturer and coordinator for Literacy Studies at The UWI, Mona campus and Lecturer in Early Childhood Education at The Mico University College in Jamaica. Dr. Morris also served as a Quality Assurance Officer with the Barbados Accreditation Council and as Educational Consultant with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), where she did work on Gender and Early Childhood.
 
Dr. Morris received an award for Excellence in Teaching from The UWI, Mona for the academic year 2022-2023.
