UNESCO World Heritage Project
The UNESCO World Heritage project on the Industrial Heritage of Barbados: The Story of Sugar and Rum, is the newest Departmental project. It involved the convening of heritage capacity building seminars and the production of a dossier on the story of sugar and rum. If this is successful, this will be Barbados’ second World Heritage nomination.
