I was always interested in what people say and how they say it. Hence, I decided to change my field of study from Building Technology to one language related. After some research, I found that Linguistics best suited by natural curiosity of speech.
During my undergraduate journey I won the Level II and III prize in Linguistics; John Reineke Prize in Linguistics; and the Linguistics Special Committee Prize.
My aim is to partner with language teachers in order to eradicate the growing problems associated with language teaching and learning, particularly in Creole and Creole- Influenced language communities in the Caribbean.
Once you consider a person’s culture, you consider his language. Thus, both are deserving of investigation and explanation.
