Graduate New Student Orientation

The Welcome and Orientation Forum for new graduate students entering in Semester 1 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday August 26, 2025 at 6:00 pm in Lecture Theatre 1 (LT1), Roy Marshall Teaching Complex. The Save the Dates flyer below provides the schedule of other orientation sessions planned for postgraduate students. 

Further details on these events, including zoom links for virtual sessions will be communicated to students directly.  Information can also be found HERE.

Students Entering in Semester 2  (January 2026)

Registration for students entering in Semester 2 will take place in January 2026.  

The Postgraduate Students Registration Guide and the Registration Schedule will be posted on CHOL: Registration.

The Online Self-Pace Orientation 
To help you prepare for registration and the new academic year, you will have access to a special orientation site from August 1, 2025, that you can access at your own pace.  

To access the self-pace online orientation site:

• Visit https://myelearning.cavehill.uwi.edu
• Enter username: your Student ID #
• Enter password:  your default password takes the format of FL@ddmmyy (FL is your first and last initials in CAPS, followed by the @ sign, and your date of birth written with two digits each for day, month and year.  For example, if your name is John Brown and your date of birth is March 2, 1998, your initial password is JB@020398
• Click on My Courses and then click Postgraduate New Student Orientation 2025/26

If you can access the elearning site but you do not see the online orientation course on your My Courses list, send an email indicating this and including your student ID number to gradstudies@cavehill.uwi.edu

New Student Orientation Webpage
